IMIST AMBO: The Ambulance's ISBAR |
Information exchange during handover between paramedics and emergency staff improves with the use of a handover system (eg isobar, IMIST AMBO). Eyes on (the ambo) and hands off (the patient) by receiving staff shortens duration of handover and improves information retained by the receiving team.
